Remind your family and/or friends that visitors are not allowed in the recovery room. We ask that they stay in the waiting area while you are in surgery. After Surgery
Your hospital stay will depend on the type of procedure you have had. Outpatient procedures allow the patient to go home within 24 hours. Inpatient surgery recovery times will vary. Be sure to arrange for transportation home since you will not be allowed to drive yourself following surgery. This is for your own safety. You will receive postoperative instructions from your doctor or nurse before leaving the hospital. Once you are home, if you have any questions regarding these instructions, please call your doctor for clarification.
