At Parkview Hospital, we are honored to help thousands of babies start their lives in our best Beginnings program. As a patient-centered hospital, we provide the individualized attention and care that you and your baby deserve. We're here for you during your pregnancy, at your baby's birth, and beyond. Our services are designed to promote a healthy pregnancy, a safe delivery, and provide support after you leave the hospital.

During your stay, you'll feel right at home in our maternity unit. We've designed a comfortable environment staffed by an experienced team of medical professionals - many of whom have been with our mother/baby unit for more than 15 years.

Maternity Patients Entrance

In an ongoing effort to protect the health and safety of our maternity patients during the COVID-19 outbreak, we have designated a separate entrance for maternity patients and their visitors.

The new Maternity Entrance is located on Miller Street (look for the awning and banner over the maternity entrance doors), with designated parking in the hospital lot at the Miller Street side of the hospital. The entrance is open 24/7 - just ring the doorbell. As an additional measure of safety, all patients and visitors entering through the maternity entrance will have their temperature screened by our staff.

Visitors Policy

NICU: Two (2) support persons

LABOR & DELIVERY: Two (2) support persons and the presence of a certified doula if desired

Approved visitors must be adults ages 18 and up only. Visiting Hours are 9:00 AM-8:00 PM.

All visitors, vendors and students will be screened for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Mask-wearing, physical distancing and hand washing practices must be followed at all times.

Free COVID-19 Testing for Maternity Patients

In support of our expectant mothers and to offer peace of mind as you near delivery, Parkview offers free rapid-testing to all maternity patients upon admission.

Baby-Friendly Designation

We have good news for babies throughout the Riverside area -- Parkview has been designated as a Baby-Friendly Hospital. This designation puts us in an elite group of hospitals in the United States. Baby-Friendly USA is a global program sponsored by the World Health Organization and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). The program recognizes hospitals and birthing centers that offer an optimal level of care for breastfeeding.
