High-risk Individuals
If you are at higher risk for serious illness from COVID-19 because of your age or because you have a serious long-term health problem, it is extra important for you to take actions to reduce your risk of getting sick with the disease. Please read what the CDC has to say about reducing your risk of getting sick.

Social distancing
We encourage community members to practice social distancing in an effort to flatten the curve. What does this mean? This means changes in behavior that can help stop the spread of infections, especially avoiding most social situations, especially ones with large groups of people. This can help slow the spread of a virus so that fewer people need to seek treatment. For more information, check out the CDC's page on how to protect yourself:

Smart grocery shopping
Avoid unnecessary trips to the grocery store and shop smarter by following these tips: See if you can get groceries delivered (especially if you are over 60 and/or have a compromised immune system). Wipe down the shopping cart or basket with cleaning wipes or hand sanitizer. Try to shop at off-peak times (See if your store has special hours for those over 60). Buy only what you need. For more information, read what the CDC says about getting your home ready.
